Calls for increased environmental responsiblity and "Green" initiatives can be heard at the local and national levels.  The Distict of Columbia's unique relationship with the federal government, combined with the forward-thinking policies of civic leaders, creates an opportunity for Washington to lead by example in embracing advantages offered by solar technology.

CitySolar DC, a Washington-based start-up, was formed to respond to this challenge.  We aim to meet the need for an adaptive approach to solar power within the District of Columbia that is at once ideally suited for urban  retrofit and is compatible with existing historic structures.  Our goal is to inspire and enfranchise all District residents, providing them with a vehicle to participate in and benefit from the move toward renewable energy.  Through our innovative, patent-pending truss technology, CitySolar DC will fundamentally alter the approach to home and commercial solar collection, making it more accessible to consumers and reducing power demands city-wide.
